Yeah got it to work! I went into my DNS and added A *.domain.com and it worked!
Subdomains automatically work when created through WordPress! No need to create in cpanel first anymore. Sweet!

I am having the same problem. I want to allow wordpress users to automatically create subdomains that work right away withought having to go into my cpanel and host server and creating a subdomain there.

Did you figure out how to do it?

I host with WestHost and used the one-click install of wordpress. I installed the https/ssl one.

Maybe I can just re-install wordpress using the http one and re-upload mySQL data base to the new http install?

No, I don’t think so. I have a dedicated SSL Cert (I’m guessing it only works with my main domain?)

I have the ability to purchase from my web host a SSL Wildcard Certificate. Will that cover subdomains? I don’t think I need SSL/HTTPS for my subdomains though. Can I make my subdomains be https:// instead of https://?
