I believe that Google adds some GET variables to the end of the URL string. This plugin is an exact string match so you’ll have to add another row compensating for that.

Can you post both columns of the row that you’re trying to re-direct & your home_url setting?

Have you checked your home_url setting in General? If it doesn’t include the protocol (https://) the plugin won’t work right.

Another common issue is putting the whole URL in the first box, not just the path.

This plugin works 1:1, it won’t rewrite your permalinks for you, even with using a boolean.

The plugin does handle HTTPS if all your settings match appropriately. It’s working on several of my sites.

Check that your home_url setting is also set to https. It’s a strict string match and if you haven’t updated that setting then it’s trying to match https:// to https:// which won’t pair.

Check your home_url setting. If it’s missing the protocol (http, https) the plugin can’t match the URL and handle the redirect.

The plugin sets HTTP/1.1 headers with a 301 status and the location of the new page if the URL matches

It does NOT use htaccess.

1 of the 3 are working now – 2 are still not and I’ve cleared all of the transients associated with the plugin.

I too am having these issues. I am on 1.9.3 with 4.4.1. The thumbnails were working before 1.9.3.

5/8 are working and 3/8 are not – the ones that aren’t are all videos on Instagram.

Scott, I already fixed it on these sites – was just hoping I could shed some more light on whatever the problem was. One was moved from local and the other was not, it was launched more than 6 months ago and just recently had stopped refreshing.

Hi there Scott, I’ve experienced this same issue on 2 different sites on different servers running different plugins/setups. Neither of the Instagram accounts was long enough to hit the character limit. Just like the above, they never expire. If you delete the bad transients it will revert to the 2 hour limit and work from then on out.

The public one that I can give you is https://bridgelanewine.com/ and Instagram username is bridgelanewine. Happy to give you the development one I have and share any server details, etc. if you’d like privately.
