In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Not Working on my siteHi, I’ve tried to subscribe to the newsletter with the form on https://www.consamb.it/.
Using Chrome Developer tools I see the following things:“FormData” contains subsUrl:https://{console_url}//frontend/xmlSubscribe.aspx/?source=generic (one of the two ‘/’ after console_url is too many, it should be removed from admin panel)
“Response” contains error code -1011 (it means that IP verification is set and the caller IP is not registered https://help.mailup.com/display/mailupUserGuide/WordPress#WordPress-AuthorizingWordPresstocommunicatewithMailUp, https://help.mailup.com/display/mailupapi/HTTP+API+Specifications#HTTPAPISpecifications-RESPONSEVALUES)
Please let us know if it is enough to fix the problem

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Problem with multisite and shortcodeHi weblogoscom, sorry for the late reply.
1) Can you please provide more details about the use case that you would implement by using shortcodes? It is likely that we don’t support them yet, but we could consider a future enhancement if we properly understand why using shortcodes for WP-MailUp widget could be an interesting new feature.2) Only one plugin instance is allowed per WP site, but If your goal is to have more than one subscription form please also consider the subscription forms that can be easily created using MailUp form builder (docs).
You can build as many forms as you want and link them from your site (if you want MailUp to host them) or you can get the code and embed it into your site (more programming skills may be required).Hope this helps
Hi Massimo, I’m sorry but I need more details to go on with the analysis.
I’m not able to find the WP-MailUp plugin in the home page. I only see a “Newsletter” button that leads to this page: “https://www.accademiamassaggiolistici.it/frontend/xmlSubscribe.aspx”, which seems a mix of your URL and the path of a MailUp page that can be used to suscribe to newsletters. Are you sure you are using the official WP-Mailup plugin? If the answer is yes, WP-MailUp plugin is unchanged since June, no recent updates have been published. For this reason I’m wondering if some changes have been applied to the site page containing the widget. Do you think that it is possible? In order to check the widget you need admin credentials of your WordPress site.
For security reasons, please do not post any credentials on this support forum, but you can write to MailUp support if you need an engineer to assist you on your specific case.
Kind regards,

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Generic Error – IP authHi Luca, let me ask you if you are configuring properly the field codes. As shown in https://help.mailup.com/display/mailupUserGuide/WordPress#WordPress-PersonalDataFields, allowed field codes require the “CampoN” syntax, where N is the field ID. You cannot use the field names that are specified on MailUp console. Writing field name where field code is required is a misunderstanding that could lead to “Generic Error” messages.
Please let me know it this is helpful for you

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Generic Error – IP authHi, the “Generic Error” message is returned when MailUp does not accept the subscription request. If you are able to get there the plugin should have worked fine.
Please check these common configuration issues:
– you are trying to subscribe a recipient by specifying an invalid pair of email and phone number (e.g. you are specifying an email that has been already inserted for subscriber A and a phone number that belongs to existing subscriber B. In this case MailUp is unable to understand if you are trying to update A or B).
– specified ID for list or group does not exist
– other configuration parameters are not validIf you don’t manage to solve this case you can contact our support team providing details about your account and the configuration you specified.
Hope this helps

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Nothing happenHi Luca, I had a look at your site and I’ve seen the message “Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined” in Chrome DevTools (F12 key).
It seems that the page is trying to use jQuery before the jQuery library is loaded or perhaps there is a module somewhere that unregisters jQuery using “wp_deregister_script”Please note that wp-plugin does not include a specific version of jQuery, it simply uses the version that comes included with every version of WordPress.

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Nothing happenHi, I’ve just tried with Yoast and it worked fine again, while I’m not able to test BackupBuddy (it’s not free).
Since you are saying that the plugin worked when you tried it in the past, I suggest you to try with a previous plugin version like v.1.3.4

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] PlaceholderThanks for the fast feedback. The asterisk on the left of the string is coherent with what we currently have on external labels.
Anyway, while removing the asterisk in case of single field forms requires more work, moving the asterisk to the right is definitely easier and we can do it quickly if the user experience takes advantage from this. What do you think?

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] PlaceholderHi Salvatore, we would like to inform you that we have just released version 1.4.0 of wp-plugin, which supports placeholders. A specific check box in the admin area lets you enable placeholder instead of external labels
Hope it helps
