You can uncheck the box “Close after inserting Photo” and continue inserting other pictures without having to reload the gallery.
This is brilliant!Is it possible to get this feature for the WordPress Media gallery too?

You can install the Flickr Photo Album Plugin and have a look how it works. Or ask the author, maybe he provides you with the code.
Looks very similar to NextGEN.

When I remove “is_home” then the Sidebar Post appears on the Home Tab but with the other Posts and not in the Sidebar.
