I did it but is still wasn’t working. I figured out the problem. I am embarrassed to admit what it was but, just in case anyone else is this slow, I’ll share the answer.
I was having a problem importing data. We have a network/multisite environment so I set up another site to try out the importing. Finally got the import to work but then the links to the events weren’t working–because I named the new testing site “Events”. Didn’t even think about it until now. Sometimes it really is the simple things.
Thank you all so very much for your help.

In reply to: [Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more!] Maps not showingThanks, that worked. Just added a little more CSS and I have a map.
Now, if I could just get the event details to show when they are out of draft mode.

Thanks,
JulieMore troubleshooting this morning and hopefully this will help someone help me.
I found that when the event shows as “draft”, as an administrator I can click through to the event post page. Can’t leave it in draft mode though, right? ?? When I publish it, the link no longer works for the admin or the user.
I have tried saving the permalinks but it still doesn’t work. Do I have to change them?
What am I missing here?
Julie
It works with the theme(came with the theme, worked with it earlier) but I think it is the import structure I have to use. I have set up a multisite environment so I can test some of this without messing up the about-to-be-live site.
The issue seems to be that the link isn’t in the right structure. If I set my permalinks to default, they work. If I change it to post name, it doesn’t work (which makes no sense but that is what happens). Using PHP Myadmin, I can see that the imported ones have a page link that includes the page title while the one I created in Events Manager does not.
From the guid column in the database:
Event manager direct link: https://vinovenue.com/vv/dev/events/?post_type=event&p=44
Imported one: https://vinovenue.com/vv/dev/events/events/taste-like-a-pro/ (post ID is 40)I am really new to WordPress so I am not sure what some of this code means. I can write a function to make the import link be correct (I think) but I could use some help figuring out what exactly I need my link to look like. If I can get the link to be post_type=event&p=40, should that work?
Thanks in advance,

In reply to: [Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more!] Maps not showingI did:
https://vinovenue.com/vv/dev/locations/vino-venue/When I look at the code it shows the map visibility as “hidden” but I thought I had indicated in all the boxes in event manager that it should show the map.
Also, the links at the bottom (which may be duplicates when you look at them, working on that), all link to the locations page. Any clue on why that is happending?

In reply to: [Import any XML, CSV or Excel File to WordPress] possibilitiesI was able to test out my imports with a custom plugin on their site. Worked great!

In reply to: [Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more!] Maps not showingSorry, copied the wrong link. Here it is:
https://vinovenue.com/vv/dev/locations/vino-venue/I am not sure if that was it or something else with the database import but the two events the client has given me seem to be working.
Thanks!
HELP! I am not sure why this is not working. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
What could cause an event with all its details show in the Admin area but, when I click on view page, it shows it as a missing page?
Thank you!

In reply to: [Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more!] XML FeedFYI, I used WP All Import. With a bit of coding (PHP on the dates), I got it to work!! If anyone else runs into this issue and wants details, let me know and I would be glad to help.
When I rollover your link, I see an extra { . Could that be the issue? The HTML shows this:
<a href=”https://{https://nietstilzitten.nl”Not sure where it is coming from, though.
Hope that helps,

In reply to: [Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more!] 404 page for listNever mind. I figured it out. There was a custom link setting.

In reply to: [Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more!] 404 page for listDo you know how I fix that? What setting is causing the url rewriting? I am not sure what is causing that.
Thanks,
