I have been using this plugin since 2 months. No problems till yesterday. After reinstalling the plugin, everything was OK again. However, within 12 hours the settings were lost again and my home page was filled with a very long list of rubbish.

I added a post with many notes on June 11th; last week I upgraded tot WordPress 5.2.2. There was also an upgrade of GeneratePress Premium; the recent GeneratePress basic theme upgrade was installed after all problems started.

Maybe, I’ve found a clue:

– If there a <!–more–> tag in a post, the Excerpt is not given in a WP Show Posts item (even when the Content Type is “Excerpt”);
– If there isn’t a <!–more–> tag in a post, the Excerpt is given correctly.

Is this normal or is it a bug ? In other words, can I display the Excerpt text in a WP Show Post item, even if there is a <!–more–> tag in the post ?

I did additional testing. Both on my test system (WAMP) and production, there is no difference between choosing Excerpt or “Volledig” (this is the Dutch translation, is it Full in English ?). I checked whether Excerpt texts are present in the Excerpt Metabox of the displayed posts: they are in all posts displayed.

– If I choose “None”, no text is given
– If I Choose Excerpt: the first 30 words of the full post are given
– Ig I choose Full: the first 30 words of the full post are given

So why doesn’t the Excerpt selector a different result ? My WP Show Posts version is 1.1.3 ? On the tested page, I also use Lightweight Grid Columns 1.0 and PDF & Print by BestWebSoft 2.0.3.

In the sidebar (i.a. Agenda), the items are selected by a WP Show Posts item: 1 column, column gutter 0em. In .wp-show-posts-inner, I defined a border: 1px. Between the bottom-border of a post and the border-top of the next post, there is about 1 cm white space !

How can this white space be reduced ?

Is there also CSS for the other way around: only the floating vertical bar on desktops and only the fixed horizontal bar at the bottom of posts ?

I tried some CSS to suppress the fixed bottom bar on desktops:

@media (min-width: 980px) {
    .a2a_default_style { display: none }
}

But this does not work. Is there a solution ?

Hi,

Thansk for your response and your offer for help. This morning, I solved the problem myself.

Initially, my site was on https://. In this periode, pdf&print was installed and activated. Later on, I switched to https://.

So, today, I deactivated pdf&print, removed the plugin, checked with ftp whether all files were gone, and then installed pdf&print once again. Thereafter, the links to the pdf and print start with https://.
