In reply to: [EDD Multilingual] Plugin page error after activationMost odd – went back to the site after 30 mins – and the Plugin Page is now responding.

In reply to: [EDD Multilingual] Plugin page error after activation(thought this was permissions, so temporarily did 777 to no avail, although it did take a lot longer to come up with the 500 error)

In reply to: [Media from FTP] (urgent) Update media taking foreverUpdate: running the Command Line added back nearly 6,000 docs on the staging-server – but no explanation why they’d gone in the first place.
Will try the same later on the live-server

In reply to: [Media from FTP] (urgent) Update media taking foreverHi Katsushi
Thanks for the quick reply.
The documents WERE registered. I went through all the files (page by page) until no files were displayed.
Now, they appear to have “unregistered” and the process is getting stuck.
How might the database be “full”? (There is a limit on its size?)Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Media from FTP] (urgent) Update media taking foreverStaging-server (that had worked on one scan this morning) after adding a full page of files (set to 2000 items per page) is now getting stuck with rotating “wait” icon. This was previous behaviour over last two days. <sigh>

In reply to: [Media from FTP] (urgent) Update media taking foreverI too have started seeing major problems with Media Library
Originally had around 12,000 PDFs linked to Posts (Document delivery site)
Added ~2,000 new files by uploading via FTP
Used “Media from FTP” to successfully scan for new files to enable links to work. (Tested on staging-server, then implemented on live-server, both OK)
Now, “Media from FTP” is failing and the Media Library is not showing linked files, even in at least one case, not able to find file which is clearly there.
While writing I have extended the Execution Time on the staging-server and that has now produced (after about 8 mins) a list of 8,000 unregistered files.
Why would previously registered files be “unregistered”?
And now, although I previously used “Media from FTP” on the live server, it is timing out (300s is higher limit in their configuration panel).
ThanksI have similar problems with the Media Library
WP ver 4.4.2
around 12,000 PDF files in the Library, about 10,000 successfully imported at the outset, three years ago.
On 21 January I started seeing problems with document links in posts. I thought I’d misunderstood what had occurred and that it was sorted.
I then uploaded 2,000 additional files by FTP and then used Plugin “Media from FTP” to successfully add these files to the library. The links were and continue to work.
But now the Media Library is properly broken. It is not scanning the uploads directory properly. Files that exist cannot be found. Links are not working even though the files are where the Media Library think they are.
As you can imagine, an ecommerce site where the products cannot be found is a big problem.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Add From Server] Fails to import 2,000 recordsThanks for your response.
Despite my “limiting server resources” I tried another plugin: Media from FTP which worked fine. with no changes required on the server.

In reply to: [Add From Server] Importing 7264 imagesJust bumping this as I have the same issue with 2,000 records.
