  • I am working on my SEO.I have worked on my products but need to work on Categories.
    I am confused with what I need to put in the boxes in the Yoast SEO category for description, canonical etc.
    Any idea of links to help me please.

  • Re-enforce the keyphrase for that particular category in these areas.
    Imagine that the shop category came up in a google search result, what description would you like people to see?

    The only boxes you need to focus on are ‘SEO title” and ‘Meta Description”. Most of the time I would suggest leaving the title as is. For the meta description try and include your target keyword while describing what is on the page. Break your keyword up if you can’t use it naturally. I suggest searching for your target keyword in google and looking at your competitors’ meta descriptions.

    Google may choose not to use your custom description however if they feel it is not sufficient.
