Why shows my Facicon only on the mainpage?

    I read all helps I could find and tried the suggestions out, but I could not get it working…

    The problem is: I uploaded my favicon.ico in the wordpress media library and could also find it in /website/wp-content/uploads than.

    And now on the mainsite it works but when I click to any undersite, the favicon is not shown.

    When I check the source code of the mainsite I can see, that the correct destination for the favicon is written in the header (https://www.website.net/wp-content/uploads/favicon.ico). So I thought, automaticly it should use this favicon for all undersites? But when I check the source code of any undersite it uses https://www.website.net/exempla-undersite/wp-content/uploads/favicon.ico.

    Why does it fill in the undersite and not use automaticly the favicon-link from the main-site-header? Can anyone help me?
