Unable to change Event Website

When creating a new event, I can set the Event Website (the one under location, for the registration link), but I cannot change it once it has been set. The editor will also not show whatever value is currently set, even though the event page itself does show the first value to which it has been set.

Additionally, it always prefixes a URL with https://. I try to use domain-agnostic links, such as /registration to use as a link on the same domain without specifying the domain. However, this gets changed to https:///registration which of course does not work. Any way around this? I would like to have my URL’s as domain agnostic as possible, as the domainname may change at some point in the future and I don’t want to need to update all the links then.
