    Hi,

the images do not point to an image file, but the category: https://www.x.nl/portfolio_category/medallions-xxl/

It’s unlikely this is caused by Really Simple SSL directly. Does the issue disappear when Really Simple SSL is deactivated? It’s possible that your theme is not handling SSL properly. Does the issue also occur when temporarily switching to a different theme?

    Hello Mark,

The thumbnails work perfectly when the Really Simple SSL plugin is deactivated. Have not tried switching to other theme in fear of damaging the website beyond repair. This is a purchased theme (Peak by OnionEye) and used broadly used.

I hope you have some other tips to overcome this bug. I read some other posts with similar problems which seemed to be resolved however the solution was not posted.

    Appreciate your support !!

    Thanks,

    Hi Willem,

Really Simple SSL will only change https:// into https://, it won’t change links from images to categories like on your site. Therefore it’s likely the issue is caused by something different than Really Simple SSL. You could try to create a copy of your site using a plugin like Duplicator/WPVivid backup and try to disable plugins/switch the theme there.
