Super Admin always receiving copy of Comment Moderation notification

    Have been hunting for a couple of hours and trying a few things but so far can not make my new installation of multi-site stop sending me (super admin) a copy of the comment moderation emails that the sub site admins should be and are receiving.

    Its possible I have mucked something up somewhere in the creation of the subsites which I created in php but all looks fine and clean to me.

    Actually saw someone in a past forum thread trying to find out how to achieve what I am trying to stop i.e. super admin receiving a copy of the comment moderation emails.

    Is the super admin also an admin of the site?

    Thanks for your interest.

    Not by what I can see under the network admin page
    > sites > sub site > users.

    There is only the one user/admin showing there and it is the admin for that sub site

    The super user is the admin for the main site one level up which seemed to be how everything installed i.e. https://../blog/ as opposed to https://../blog/subsite1/. Is that the problem somehow perhaps? have I somehow setup wrong?

    Apologies for using the term sub site etc – I don’t know the correct terminology.

    Do you mean you’re using a multinetwork plugin? Or just a site off of yourdomain.com?

    WordPress multisite, using subdirectories and not subdomains

    e.g. https://booknowonline.net/blog is the main site and https://booknowonline.net/blog/SandspitFishingChartersLtd where blog is actually the wordpress directory on my server. SandspitFishingChartersLtd is what I was meaning by sub site – perhaps I should just say site?

    Ah, okay, yes, just a site on the network ??

    So at https://booknowonline.net/blog/SandspitFishingChartersLtd/wp-admin/users.php the super admin is NOT listed?

    Is the email listed in the general settings the same as the super admin?

    Go to WP Admin -> Settings -> General and check

    Fantastic Ipstenu! You are correct!

    Don’t know how I missed it before. Going to the sub site under network admin page and then clicking settings gives the admin email which is actually set as the super admins address for some reason – most likely when I created the subsites!

    I hadn’t noticed this before despite scanning the settings for anything to do with moderation and comments.

    Not sure how to put this as solved and closed on the forum here?
