SSL is not enabled yet?..

    Actually this testpage is http://www.mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/really-simple-ssl/ssl-test-page.php (not https).

    That is strange. In the testpage url http is replaced to https, so a bit weird you’re getting a http url. Is it possible you have an IDNS, internationalized domain name? Maybe the https:// is encoded to someting else, which is not recognized as https://.

    You could try to reload your admin over https, by change the http in the browser address bar to https, then hit enter. Then the plugin does not need to load a separate page to check the https connection.
