  • The spinning arrow is a common symptom of a JavaScript conflict with either your current WordPress theme or one of the other plugins you are using. It can also be caused by a server-side warning or error. See Contact Form 7 Email Issues – there is a link there that covers JavaScript Conflicts.

ok that’s the answers I keep getting….I believe I’m not the only one getting this issue, it’s an issue with this plugin….isn’t there an update the author could do to change the javascript of the spinning arrows?

I have went round and round with this and tried everything…

It is unfortunate that many plugins and themes out there aren’t?? well written and they turn to have conflicts when used alongside CF7 which is perfectly written. You may try a steps below to resolve your problem.

??Step by step approach to solving Javascript Conflicts

    1. Switch temporarily to a WordPress default theme (Twenty Eleven etc.) and see if the problem goes away.

If it does, you’ve most likely got a problem with your current WordPress theme.

If switching to default theme doesn’t help it could be one of the plugins you are using that is causing the problem.

    2. Disable all plugins other than Contact Form 7

If doing that solves the problem, you can then add back each item – one by one, until you find the cause of the problem.

it’s an issue with this plugin….

No, the plugin works fine on at least a million other sites. it’s your specific environment. spinning arrows is either a server-side or javascript conflict with your theme or another plugin.

The poor man’s way to debug this is to deactivate all plugins and switch to the default theme and see if it works. The developer’s way is to inspect the AJAX response with Firebug or similar, and to enable WordPress debugging to see if there are server-side NOTICE or WARNING messages from PHP.

No, the plugin works fine on at least a million other sites.

https://poststatus.com/popular-wordpress-plugins/ indicates its actually over 6 million.
