Hello @lselwd, thanks for opening a support topic with us. While it is possible to have Site Kit set up on both http and https versions of your site, this practice wouldn’t be recommended. It would be good to get a better understanding of why you are looking to do this. Is it simply because you are running into this issue?

If so, this is likely happening because you don’t have an automatic redirect from http to https. This can happen when there is no redirection rule in place and you access Site Kit via http instead of https. You can use a plugin such as the redirection plugin to set up the redirect from http to https which should mean you no longer see the message you have reported in Site Kit.

If you are still facing issues and seeing this message after implementing the above, please could I ask you to share your?Site Health information?and we can investigate this further. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I DO NOT HAVE SSL CERT for SSL/HTTPS, so access with https:// , is any problem… with this…?

Is any way avoid this message?

@lselwd Thanks for explaining that you don’t have an SSL certificate. If you were looking to set up SSL for your site then many hosts provide free SSL certificates for use with your site. You can also use a service such as Let’s Encrypt who also provides free certificates.

If you can set up SSL for https on your website then you will be able to access the WordPress admin backend from https and should no longer see this URL has changed message.

If this is not an option for you then you can try performing a Site Kit reset and setting up once more on http.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Do you mean I cannot use both http/https [same domain] with Site Kit … so, the best of all is – secure site with SSL cert, and apply to Site Kit the https… correct?

So if access with https, only, should put a .htaccess redirect = forced to https://, and NOT NEEDED ANY CHANGE on Site Kit… correct?

@lselwd It is possible to use both http/https [same domain] with Site Kit?but it is not recommended as you can run into issues like the one you are currently facing.

What we would recommend is what you are suggesting which would be to add a redirect from http to https as you are suggesting and once done, you should be able to use Site Kit without seeing the current message you are seeing regarding the URLs changing.

If you do encounter any further issues after applying these changes then please do let us know and we can take another look at this for you.

That is the best practice to follow when using Site Kit yes.

OK, I will look to free/cheap SSL Cert links you provided, soon…
