• I installed the plugin, and I have a copy of Director. I copied my API key and path using the buttons in my admin, but when I click the icon in my page, the window is hung. It just spins and spins. I’ve tried it in Chrome, IE8, Chrome with the IE Tab extension, and FF (both of which worked the best–it did not spin, instead the Recently Uploaded option was selected, but there were no albums or photos).

    Thanks,
    Karen

Hi Karen, what version of php are you using?

    Hi creding,

    5.2.9

Would you mind contacting me through our support center so I can help you further? https://help.slideshowpro.net/ Mention this thread.

The problem may be caused by a plugin conflict. To test you can disable other plugins and see if it works. If not then it could be a theme issue. It’s hard to say without seeing it in action.

    Submitted.

    Thanks!

Hi Karen, it appears the problem was caused due to adding a https:// in the path to director. The plugin is set to use the path without the https://. I’ll see what I can do to fix this in the future.

    Hi creding,

I can insert the content now–thanks! I put a bunch of photos in, but it doesn’t look right–the captions are all screwy, displaying with code. And are the images supposed to display in a player or just individually? I moved the content to an unlinked page here:

    Thanks so much!

Hi Karen, I was able to reproduce the problem by inserting the images one after another without any spacing. I believe this is an issue with wordpress and shortcodes as opposed to the plugin though.

This plugin doesn’t offer the slideshow player, It is strictly for inserting single images or videos one at a time from Director. For slideshows we have the slidepress plugin.

I left one test post in as a draft so you can publish it and see what I am talking about. Try removing the spacing between the end of one caption shortcode and the beginning of another and see if the code goes wonky on you.

Thanks for the update! I was really looking for a slideshow with content from Director, so I tried the Slidepress plugin. Everything seemed to be going fine until I actually tried to input the gallery into a post/page. I do not have my tinyMCE buttons or the SlidePress button, so I don’t have a way to insert the slideshow. Also, the Edit and Preview links don’t seem to work. Frustrating… :~
