I have a link search option as a menu item. I upgraded my site to https and now when I click on the link search the search form gives me an annoying message “This form is not secure. Autofill has been turned off.” Then after I enter the search term and hit submit I’m taken to a nonsecure page warning “The information you’re about to submit is not secure”, etc, and then I have to click “Send Anyway” to see my search results. I’m embarrassed to say I cannot figure out how to resolve this issue.

The search page itself contains only the shortlink [link-library-search]

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Can you go under the Library Configurations section of Link Library, in the Search tab and check if you set the field “Results Page Address”? If so, is it an https:// or https:// link that you have in there?

I was going to ask you which library, but then I looked at the default library and there it was with https://. I had looked at other library configurations and it was blank. So I added the s and now the problem is solved!

Do the settings in the default library affect other libraries if their settings are not changed? Did not consider that!

Thank you Yannick, you saved me again.

Glad this solved the issue. Each library’s settings only affect that library. So if you were instantiating the search box with the settings=”1″ shortcode parameter or without any parameter, it would have used the setting for the default library configuration #1. This is true even if you use the search box code on a page that has a library that uses settings other 1.

Let me know if this answers your question and please consider donating to support this plugin’s development.
