Hi there, great plugin (free version only).

I’m not sure where else to ask but hopefully you have an answer. Currently, Really Simple SSL running fine on my sites. However, recently I have discovered that PDF files don’t load as https in chrome. They’ll load fine in Safari, and fine in a Chrome incognito window, and they’ll load as http in chrome, but not https. Any idea why this might be the case? Certificates are all good.

Anyway, shot in the dark, thanks.

    Hi,

do the PDF’s use https:// links on the site? Possibly the files aren’t being redirected when accessed directly, to fix this you can try to enable the .htaccess redirect option or enable HSTS (see https://really-simple-ssl.com/hsts-http-strict-transport-security-good/). HSTS will force all requests over https://, including direct requests to files.

Thanks for the response – Yes, the PDFs are using https:// links on the site. Nothing loads, but if I remove the s from https, there it is. In any case, thanks for the response, I’ll give the pro plugin a shot and see if it works (although I purchased it before and then got a refund, something about the pro version messed with another site, but here’s hoping, Fingers X!) ??

Thanks for the response, happy new year
    Daisy
