https not working on multisite subdomains

Hi, I have recently set up wordpress multisite and enabled the Real Simple SSL plugin networkwide.

My main domain plus the subdomains that are already set up have https:// when I look in the sites settings.

When I go to each of my sites/subdomains the web address is https://example.com and https://shop.example.com but they are then redirected to https:// with the red unsecure logo in the address bar.

Hosting is with hostgator who provide a SSl certificate for all my sites and I used the ssllabs test to check the cert which can back with an A.

How can I get all my subdomains to use https://??
