how to create sub menu items

I want to have several sub items in a dropdown menu.

The way I have done it is to create 3 pages, eg “Login”,”Staff Login” and “Student Login”.

I then drag the 2 pages under the “Login” page to create the dropdown menu, ie “Login” as top level and as second menu items “Staff Login” and “Student Login”.

Problem with this is the user can just click “Login” and that page appears which I don’t want. I need to disable the “Login” page.

Is this the right way to create dropdown menus?
