    Hi Joe, here I am with a new feature request:
    there are tile services whith a zoom limit that is lower than 18 (the current limit).

    When you go over that limit, the map gets blank.
    Example: with the OpenStreetMap you can go down to level 18.
    OpenTopoMaps reaches 17 only, if you go to 18 you get a blank map.
    You should add to each basemap configuration a “maximum zoom level” parameter.

    (Adding there the OpenTopoMaps url, in case you want to try it: https://{s}.tile.opentopomap.org/{z}/{x}/{y}.png)

    If you agree, please add it to the list ??
    Bye!

    @mistermagoo8691,

    Nice idea. I have added Basemap Max Zoom Setting in the development release.

    Cheers,

    Wow! I was not even dreaming for such a fast developement! ??
    Thanks Joe!

    Uhm… I installed the development release, but I can’t see the new setting… did you mean “I have added the zoom setting in the development relase TODO LIST”? ??

    @mistermagoo8691,

    Please ensure you have the latest development version installed (from GitHub). You should see this.

    Cheers,

    Yes, actually I downloded the latest version (I went to Github and downloaded the .zip from the [vCODE] button). In fact, the file you linked here above is the same as the one I downloaded a couple of hours ago.

    With the 1st update, before replacing the files, I deactivated the plugin, and then I reactivated it after the file replace.
    This time I replaced the files without deactivating the plugin first, then I deactivated and reactivated the plugin after the file replace… and it worked (:-o)
    I can see the additional field in the configuration, and it works great!

    Thanks Joe, once more! It was sooo annoying seeing the map going blank when rolling the mouse wheel too much!

    @mistermagoo8691,

    Glad you got it working, it wasn’t a very difficult change and you caught me at the right moment. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Cheers,

    Hi Joe, I’ve found a small “unexpected behaviour” with this new feature: if you roll your mouse wheel over the map, the zoom limit works fine. If you roll it while you’re over the elevation graph, you are able to go over the zoom limit ??

    Hi @mistermagoo8691,

    I am seeing this too, but as of yet have been unable to find a fix ??

    Just to update, I have just released v0.9.18 of the plugin without this feature included.

    I do plan on getting this added the the next released. Until then, you can find it in this branch.

    Cheers,

    Hi Joe. I accidentally updated the plugin from WordPress, and I need to apply the “unofficial” branch once more.

    Since I want to be sure not to make mistakes (and I forgot what I did 3 months ago exactly, but I am sure it involved several backup copies just in case….), what should I do?

    1) download the zip & extract it
    2) take ALL the files and subfolders of the waymark-topic-basemap_max_zoom main folder (assets, inc, languages, package.json, waymark.php….) and overwrite all existing files on my FTP folder /wp-content/plugins/waymark? Is it correct?

    I just want to be sure that, if I simply overwrite it all, I am not going to lose any customization…

    Thanks! And looking forward to seeing the official release of the 0.9.19, including this “max limit” feature ??

    Yes, the Settings are stored in the database so overwriting these files will not impact that.

    That said, I always recommend backing up both the site files and database just in case!

    I spent some more time trying to fix the issue you found (zooming enabled when hovering over elevation), however a solution is hard to find! It seems to be a weird quirk that I have not been able to get to the bottom of :-/

    I have kept the branch up to date with the latest development release if you want to re-enable the feature in it’s current state. You can download this version of the plugin here.

    Please do let me know if you spot any other issues.

    Cheers,

    Joe

    Hi Joe. Thanks for your reply.

    Well, I’ve just overwritten ALL files & folders of my old “Waymark” folder, taking them from the .zip file you attached to your email.

    See below how I see the “Settings” now… they are completely messed up. I had to restore my “Waymark” folder backup…

    PDF file here…

    Any idea why this is happening?

    Hi @mistermagoo8691,

    My guess would be you need to clear your browser cache after installing the new version.

    I hope that helps.

    Yep, it worked. It was so easy! ??
