• Different Maps (Google, Stamen, OSM, etc.) have different max. zoom Levels

I would like to set the max zoom level for each map.

I’m for example in map A with zoom level 12 (which is the maximum for this map) and I change to map b which has a max zoom level of 10 I get the “Error: map images could not be loaded”
In this case it would be great if MapsMarker Pro would automaticly switch to the max zoom level which is set in the setting for this map… which is in this case 10.

  • Hi,
the plugin actually supports maximum zoom level and basemaps with a lower maximum native zoom level should actually use this to support higher (interpolated) zoom levels. Can you please tell, which basemaps you used so that I can check that the settings are correct?
    thx,
    Robert

thx, but please tell me from which basemap you switched to another one at which zoom levels, so that I can try to reproduce this on our servers…

This happens all the time on most of the basemaps. I’m only 95% sure that this is because of the zome level. If I zoom out in a case of the errors then I have the correct map, if I zoom in again I do not have.

Which zom level I don’t knw exactly because it is not shown in the map.

It just happend from Steamen Gel?nde (Terrain) to OpenTopoMap. Sometimes it works, somtimes not, but if not it’s always in an higher zoom level

    Hi,
the issue seems to be that you moved OpenTopoMap froM Custom Basemap 2 to Custom Basemap 1 but did not change the max zoom level setting, which according to your screenshot is still 18 whereas it should be 17 for OpenTopoMap – this would explain the issue.
    best,
    Robert

Wow… you are cool! Thanks!!! I have changed it.

Anyhow, I still have the issue on other maps like Stamen Terrain

    https://map.sven-esser.de/maps/fullscreen/layer/7/

Try the different maps and zoom in and out… you will see the errors comming up. Sometimes only on parts of the map.

I tried but couldn′t reproduce the issue. Anyway missing tiles can also be caused by the tile server itself or issues with internet connection, so please also keep this in mind (available tile providers are very reliable though from my experience)
