• Hello.

My whole site is using https://.

There is an option for Falcon engine.
“Allow SSL (secure HTTPS pages) to be cached:
[checkbox] We recommend you leave this disabled unless your
site uses HTTPS but does not receive/send sensitive user info.”

My site uses https AND does receive/send sensitive info (admin and login).

Should I chech the option or not ?

  • Hello,

This is addressing the content of your site. I’d suggest reading this description from our docs.

    https://docs.wordfence.com/en/Falcon_Cache#Allow_SSL_pages_to_be_cached

“To decide whether you should enable caching of SSL pages, ask yourself this question: Is it OK to take all the information in the SSL pages you are caching and publish that information on the front page of the New York Times? If the answer is yes, then it’s OK to enable this option.”

    Thanks,
    Brian

Google says https is a ranking factor and is strongly pushing for an https web. So are plenty of other major players.

Is there any point to Wordfence Falcon caching if SSL secured (https) pages should not be cached ?

Please correct me if I am wrong, but a fully https website surely cannot gain any benefit from Wordfence caching.
