    Hi,
I received two consecutively numbered orders for the same customer in WooCommerce. On closer inspection they both have the same Paypal transaction ID. The first order:

PayPal Express payment completed ( Response Code: Success, TransactionID: 69Nxxxxxx823 )

And 5 seconds later, the next order:
PayPal Express payment completed ( Response Code: SuccessWithWarning, TransactionID: 69Nxxxxxx823 )

Both orders were shown as ‘processing’ in WooCommerce. Plugin version 1.1.7.5

    Have you seen this before?

@shawaj, so you are not using our plugin at all, but you’re experiencing these issues..?? That would verify it’s not directly related to our plugin specifically, so that makes me feel a little better, but doesn’t get us any closer to finding the exact problem.

Are you running any sort of caching or CDN system on your server? WPEngine is one I see that causes quite a few problems, for example.

Yes, we are using the woothemes PayPal express and Stripe integrations. We have seen this issue with both of these payment methods.

We also use the standard built in PayPal basic integration but we’ve never seen it happen with this payment method, I’m guessing because that uses IPN or something.

I just wanted to post and say that it is not just your plugin!

We have recently setup Sucuri WAF/CloudProxy but it was happening before we set this up. Prior to that we were using WP Rocket caching.

What about load balancers? Do you happen to be using those with your server config?

I have seen issues in the past where load balancers send traffic through both https:// and https://, for example, so you end up with 2 of the same transaction getting run.

Any chance that sort of thing could be happening?

We don’t have load balancing (only have one server, one IP) and we force all requests through https.

It is not always when under heavy load but it was certainly significantly more prevalent when our site was under heavy load.

    Thanks

Going back through old tickets here. I’m pretty sure this was resolved in our last updates. I haven’t had any other response here, so I’m assuming there are no more issues. Can you all confirm?
