Hi there, hope you can help.

The company I work with has created a custom version of WordPress. On the article page there is a field to use a ‘main image‘. Sadly this is not using the ‘featured image‘ so my RSS feed does not include an image.

Is there a way of changing this from Featured image to the Main image or custom field (Perhaps with the full image tag in there)?

Let me know if you can help I’m sure we could donate for some help.

    Background
I am using the RSS feed to feed into the Apple News app. So it has to be in the right format. At the moment there is only text in my feed. I think the featured image needs to go in the description tag.

Sorry, my plugin doesn’t support using custom fields at all. It only works with Featured Images.

You could set the Featured Image as well as what’s in the custom field that the theme is using, and it should work for RSS.

If you’d like more help on this, email me using rob at presswizards.com and we can dig into it more.
