Backend Login 404

I have to deploy this website on my staging server to perform some work on it. I can’t access the backend however. I have thus far:
- Moved all plugins to a backup folder
- Removed “simple ssl” settings from .htaccess
- Changed home and siteurl
- Updated DB details in wp-config.php
I am not a 100% sure that I set up the subdomain correctly, but the site is loading fine (minus the broken image links). I just can’t seem to access the backend by adding /wp-admin to the URL.
Any thoughts? Anyone resolved this in the past?

You sir, deserve a cookie. You were almost spot on. When I read your post, the lights suddenly went on. I never added the protocol to the DB fields for home and siteurl. I just had the path dealpoint.glyph.capetown instead of https://dealpoint.glyph.capetown.
