    Hi Helmut,

what I am trying to realize with the block-designer:

An ‘address block’ where the author at the backend is able to insert simple contact information in fields like name, address, tel, e-mail, website etc. whereby the fields tel, e-mail and website are then presented as html a tags with href=”mailto: , href=”tel: and href=”https://.

    Is this possible?

    Hi,

    thank you for your interest!

In principle, it is possible to create such an address block. However, authors would have to insert the link text and the link reference separately. And the authors would also have to put the protocol prefix (tel:, mailto:, https://) in the link manually. So there would be no automatism. But in principle it is possible to create such an address block.

If you are interested, I could create a video tutorial on the weekend.
    Just let me know ??

    Best regards,
    Helmut

    Hi,
yes a tutorial would be perfect.

As a feature request a function to export and import blocks would be nice so it’s easy to share blocks.

    best regards,

Alright Michael I’ll let you know as soon as the tutorial is available ??

Thank you for your feature request. I’ve thought of something like that too. I’m not sure yet how and when I’ll implement it.
However, a similar feature could be coming soon: copying and pasting the element tree from one website to another (via clipboard). Would that meet your needs in the meanwhile? Or do you need it as a file to share with other people or something?

    Best regards,
    Helmut

Copying and pasting the element tree via clipboard is a good idea and will meet my needs for now.
Import and export (via JSON file format) maybe interesting for share with others. It depends how complex and sophisticated blocks could be. I don’t have enough experience at the moment.
