• Greetings all…

We recently started getting the following error(s) upon attempting to SAVE a post or page – via a pop up window:

    GENERAL 403
    At: https://{base site URL}/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=proxy_atd&_wpnonce=d0a9f705ce&url=/checkDocument

This “kills” the post / page saving action – but – if you wait a second and re-attempt the save – it goes through… WTF ?

To save time – before anyone suggests disabling plugins, and switching themes, etc etc… please understand – we haven’t changed things in a few days, and this just popped in earlier today… So it’s logically not a new plugin or theme issue caused by changes recently implemented.

    Any thoughts folks ?

403 forbidden means that your browser isn’t able to load the scripts up because your server isn’t allowing it. This is a hard one to solve. Because anything could be blocking the server.
    – Most likely this is a server permissions/ownership issue, so ask your host what’s going on
    – check your .htaccess files for anything strange.
    – try a full Manual Upgrade, to make sure all the WordPress files are there and correct..
    – Make sure to backup everything (including database) before doing any action.
