I have a site like (test.mywebsite.xx) to move (replace) to mywesite.xx (main website of my network installation).

Is it possible to do that with NS ? If so, Should I take special precautions? I guess so:). Which ones plz? And, do you have a how-to?

I’ve been using wordpress multisite for my project,Eg. “domain.com”. After some period of time I need to change to look of my site. I created a multisite called “testsite.domain.com” to test to look,post, plugins.

Now I feel great about it, how can I transfer all the settings, to be active as the mainsite, or copy or clone the site over the existing one?

Why shows my Facicon only on the mainpage?

Hi there,

I read all helps I could find and tried the suggestions out, but I could not get it working…

The problem is: I uploaded my favicon.ico in the wordpress media library and could also find it in /website/wp-content/uploads than.

And now on the mainsite it works but when I click to any undersite, the favicon is not shown.

When I check the source code of the mainsite I can see, that the correct destination for the favicon is written in the header (https://www.website.net/wp-content/uploads/favicon.ico). So I thought, automaticly it should use this favicon for all undersites? But when I check the source code of any undersite it uses https://www.website.net/exempla-undersite/wp-content/uploads/favicon.ico.

Why does it fill in the undersite and not use automaticly the favicon-link from the main-site-header? Can anyone help me?

Redirect to users to their site after login, and not mainsite

I have a multisite where there is open for users sign up. The problem is i want them to be able to login on the main site and be redirected to their own admin panel after.

Right now, when someone logs in on the mainsite with their login, they get the message that they do not have access to the page, because it is the main sites admin they gets to.

Cannot access main site anymore: mysite.com fails but mysite.com/wp-admin works

I dont know when exactly this stopped working.. I only noticed now after upgrading to WP 3.9.
I still can access the other site I set up, mysite2.com, but mysite.com and www.mysite.com fail.
mysite.com/wp-admin works, so I suppose the apache is still set up correctly. (Well, I did not change anything there in a long time – perhaps updates..)
Last time I checked it did work, after then I only installed plugin updates, WP updates (3.8 and 3.9) and added a few posts.
When I say it “fails”, it looks like it times out, and I get an error message on my local browser (no error code though, just “could not connect”).
What to check, where to look?
