It is good to see that the Q2W3 Inc Manager plugin received an update, because it has been a few years. In fact, this got me a little cautious, since here and there you can read about incidents concerning popular plugins being abused by other entities (such as through a buy-out, for instance) to insert malicious code with the update). At the same time I am not saying that this is happening here).
In addition, I have two suggestions for improvement – in fact, one would be a required fix:
1) I wonder if it is possible to up the amount of accepted code an include can hold. Simply put: When attempting to publish too much code in an include, Q2W3 Inc Manager will not process it. Nothing breaks, but the include remains untouched (reverts to the “before the save” state). I guess that means that somewhere there is a character- or code- limit cap.
2) This would be nice to have: When creating many includes it is easy to loose oversight. It would be great if groups could be created to be able to organise the different includes accordingly.
Thanks again for the plugin. So far I didn’t manage to find another plugin in the WP repository that offers the same ease of use and functionality that Q2W3 has to offer.
All the best!

I’m new to this, not getting paid for this site. I’m taking a class on php, but we haven’t gotten to this yet.
This is one of the events:

If I add a title to the post, everything works fine. Any chance of a fix?

]]>I have just spotted various issues while using the Q2W3 Inc Manager. This is the first time and I am struggling to find a solution.
My WordPress setup is a MultiSite setup:
– When trying to access an already existing Q2W3 Inc Manager entry, the page simply redirects back to the WP Admin Dashboard. This is the link that is showing while it’s redirecting:
https://www.domain.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.domain.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fadmin.php%3Fpage%3Dq2w3-inc-manager%26id%3D4&reauth=1
This is one mapped domain, which has been done with the MU MultiSite Domain Mapping plugin. When turning the plugin off, the entry can be accessed and for some funny reason it works anyway on the primary domain.
– On another note, even when I am able to add a new Q2W3 Inc Manager entry, it shows me NO PAGES that I could select from even though pages do exist on the blog.
Anyone has an idea what is going on here? I never had an issue with the plugin before (except for it not accepting JS, iframes and Flash), but this is completely new.
Thanks a lot in advance

]]>I am using as theme I did not create and I come across many instances where it is necessary to modify the code within the various php files. For adding code to the post itself I use a plugin called Post Layout and it works fine.
However, there are times when I am instructed to insert a code within a template other than the single-post template. In these cases anything I insert or modify is erased by the theme’s upgrades (which are quite regular). The theme’s author suggested I create a child theme to immunize myself from the upgrades.
Essentially what I am looking for is a plugin that will insert modifications to the theme that will survive an upgrade as the modifications will be retained within the plugin. Much like the Post Layout plugin.
So, what is a child theme and which is the easiest and simplest way to go? Child theme or some kind of ‘code insert’ plugin?
And where do I find this type of plugin if it exists? And where do I go to learn about child themes?
Thanks.
