But now, even after the license expires, a reminder or invoice is not issued to the customer!

For anyone that happens to view these topics, or for the plugin Author, I’ve created a fork of this plugin and fixed it up so that it works with the latest copy of WordPress and WooCommerce (currently v4.8.2 & v3.2.1, respectively).

I’ve made significant improvements, including fixing a couple of small issues that I found. I’ve also included a couple of extra fields on the Settings page (WooCommerce > Settings > Products > License Manager).

You can now enter the full url for the location of the Software License Manager plugin. It was previously stripping https:// and https:// from the entered url and forcing the url to use https://.

There’s an extra field to enter the Secret Key for Verification which will allow the plugin to now list all the Registered Domains for each License Key when your customer views the Order Page in their account.

There is also a field to enable debbging. I’ve added a significant number of debug messages to the code which will be written to slm_log.txt in the root of your site if this checkbox is ticked.

All the code has been reformmatted to WordPress plugin directory requirements and I’ve completely rewritten the sample code for integrating the license check into your Theme or Plugin so that it makes proper use of WordPress nonces and also allows your theme/plugin to deactivate the license as well. A link to this sample code can be found in the readme file.

I manage a website for a company that currently uses the OpenCart shopping cart to sell digital downloads. A small number of those items are licensed through a service called “LimeLM”: https://wyday.com/limelm/
In order for the licensed products to generate a license code, I had to take the code provided by Lime, and implement it into OpenCart, inserting my own function between the checkout confirmation script and the thank you page.
Our company now has a new website which we developed in WordPress/WooCommerce. I would like to continue using Lime, but rather than hacking WordPress, I was hoping there was a plugin we could implement where, possibly we could input the settings (“LimeLM API Key”, “LimeLM Version ID” etc.) and send out the email with the activation key prior to being redirected to the thank you page.
Does your product do this?

after updating to the latest Woocommerce and Software License Manager version the plugin is not generating new licenses on new orders.

I’ve been using your WC add-on plugin and the Key server server-side plugin (on separate machines) for some time and they have both been working great until now.

After just updating to WP v4.8 on both servers, I now have lost communication between the 2.
My Key server URL has not changed, nor has my SECRET KEY.
Beyond the WP update, I’ve made no other configuration changes on my WC server, or on the Key server.

Does this plugin allow me to use a custom algorithm for the generation of the licence key. I will be asking the customer to enter a Mac Address on the checkout page, I have some custom logic that will generate the license key based on the Mac Address. Will this plugin allow me to use my custom generated license key. Please let me know as soon as you can.

Seems like the expired date is not calculated when used.

all expired on the license keys manager are set to 0000-00-00 for some reason.

Hi, in my company we bought the extension. Now we are trying and we wonder if there is an option to “reduce” the length of the key code.

We don’t want that the user that don’t know how to copy/past a code (i know that is basic…but, we have a very different range of customer) spend so much time writing the code.

How can we do with these?

Love your plugin but sometimes the license doesn’t get generated, throwing the following message on the notes:

License Key(s) could not be created.

I don’t know the reason, but how can I re-generate the license from the order? Without doing it manually…

I’m using woocommerce.

Both the SLM plugin and yours provide a great missing functionality, congrats for your work!

Here is a problem: when someone buys more than one software product – let’s say one license of “Office Manager” and one of “ABC Video Player” – the license issued for “Office Manager” can be used to activate “ABC Video Player”! And we don’t want this…

This is because the current SLM client API activation cannot handle and check the product id as well. And reject the request if the key was not generated for that product type.

The SLM guy exposed a hook there that I could eventually use to extend his plugin, but I need to know first the product id (the ID from wp_posts I suppose) for which a license key was actually generated. And this is actually part of your implementation.

Hi,
I’ve been using this plugin for simple products but I would like to use it on variation products of woocommerce.
Example:
Personal use – 1 domain
Business – 3 domains
Developer/Agency – 20 domains

Is this possible using this plugin?
Activated domains for each key created will be based on the variation that is chosen.
This is I think the standard use of licensing function, because right now when the product data type is variation, the settings for the number of domains allowed are seen in the generals tab, https://screencast.com/t/XIURgC3w7I9h .
and the download expiry and download limit is seen in the variations tab.
I think the license key create of the plugin we used is only creating 1 key per product then it only depends on the number of sites that can be activated set in general settings tab of product.

Please help, I tested this a good week or so ago when I first installed and set up the plugin. I made an order that had 2x of the same item(downloadable etc all the requirements) … each item was appropriately signed a different license in my account and in the email.
Recently I tried multi quantity order of the same item that used to work and now the items in the order just have the same license for each count of the item =(

I dont know why this isnt working, Ive tested the licensemanager API by spamming it w/ create license requests and it generates unique ones correctly.
BTW the errornous order only lists the 1 license in licensemanager. So, something stopped working correctly =( no idea what….

I was wondering if it is possible to modify the code to allow licensing for variable products. I would like to use this plugin on my site but need to be able to give options like 1 Device License, 5 Devices, etc. and update the price but generate licensed sites based on variable option.

2. When it exceeds the limit of allowed domains will not show any error message to tell.
