Sent message to developer that none of my posts were processed, and I was immediately asked for access to my admin user! This is a no-no! He or she would not provide any information, just repeated the request for access, then just said “Sorry, no instructions, it’s very easy, and i’v tested, it’s works, so i can not help you without the admin account of your website.” I could find no instructions or documentation to which one can refer either. I give 2 stars only because of the rapid response time for inquiry.

It does what it says, saves the first image from your post, if you want it can pull them all, then set it as featured image. All automatic.

If I enable “QQWorld Auto Save Images”, ACF cannot autosave every custom fields, and will DELETE ALL CUSTOM FIELDS!!!
If I disable, ACF will work.

This plugin does exactly what it says, and it does it well! I don’t have much else to say.
I needed to merge two wordpress sites into one. This plugin was instrumental in making that happen.
For those interested in my process of merging my two sites… On the old site, I did a post export. Then, on the new site, I did an import. I did NOT select “Download and import file attachments.” After it was done importing posts, I went to QQWorld and used its “Scan Posts” function to find and save the images I needed. Couldn’t have been easier. (Don’t forget to backup site and database. YMMV.)

Tried it out. Attempting to fix posts with missing images from posts only WordPress importer and this plugin said it would do what was needed, grab remote images and set featured images. It doesn’t
Auto and manual modes from settings took forever at first for 700 posts. So I reduced to only 20 posts at a time to see some results and it said a few had missing images, and the rest had no remote images, which is incorrect. Switched to manual mode and opened a post that had two valid remote images displaying and hit the button above the editor. Plugin said no remote images were found. The 2 images in that post were working fully, had full addresses (https://), and were from a domain different than the one the site is on.
What a fucking waste of time. I’d give this zero stars if I could, to represent what the plugin actually did, nothing.

I remote publish a photo blog to my site via IFTTT and this is just what I needed. Images are uploaded automatically and set as featured images.
I suggested an idea regarding a custom filename option and within 24 hours the developer had replied to me, added the new option and released a new version.
Amazing support, especially considering it’s free. A++

The BEST of this type of plugins. A must-have if you need to save remote pictures like me. I hacked it a bit to prevent WordPress from generate thumbnails for every images. Keep up the great work!

I have tried a few of this type of plugin. This one is consistent and works great. Doesn’t cause changes to the content. Or cause anything weird to happen. And I like the manual option.

This is the only plugin I could find that does this job without messing up the code in my posts. The developer is also very responsive and did a great job adding functionality to search the archives and update old posts, logging errors if it finds any.

This is a great plug-in to use in conjunction with IFTTT when pulling images from Pinterest or Instagram, etc. to post in WordPress. It will auto set the remote image as Featured Image upon saving the post.
At first I was getting double images and blank images, but after using it for awhile I am now only getting 1 image saved to my Media – so it works fabulous.
One thing that will NOT work while using this is, auto posting from WordPress to G+, Twitter, or Facebook, as there is no real image for those apps to pull.
Otherwise, great plugin and it saves me a ton of time! Thank you so much for your time and sharing!
