• Hi there, I’m sure this question’s probably been asked before, but is there an easy way to regain your likes on social media with Sumome after installing SSL and migrating all urls from http to https? Thanks!

    Hey @jcnyc!

    Let’s get your share numbers back. ??

    SumoMe relies on your Open Graph tags to determine what is shared and what your share numbers are. If you don’t have Open Graph tags setup, it will use your actual page URL/Title.

    If you’ve made changes to your pages’ URLs (e.g. switching from https:// to https://) your Open Graph tags may have changed as well.

    To get your share numbers back the way they were, you will need to modify your Open Graph URL tag (og:url) to reflect the previous URL where your pages were located.

    Check out our awesome FAQ that explains how SumoMe works and what it Shares:

    You may need a plugin that manages your Open Graph tags in order to handle that for you.

    Hi, I found this and I followed your instructions to set my urls in the og:url setting to http instead of https. These are Genesis sites, so I placed the following in the header scripts section of the dashboard…

    <meta property=“og:title” content=“EXAMPLE NAME />
    <meta property=“og:url” content=“https://example.com” />

    We’re getting some numbers, but nowhere close to where they were. Some of the posts are getting numbers, others are not.
