    I have just installed your plugin and trying to take an export to file.

    When I click on this option it just hangs saying ‘Done creating an empty archive.’ with an option to Stop the Export.

    I have had issues with doing backups which my hosting company said was connected to them now being on Clustered Servers.

    Is this an issue you have come across before – and is there a solution ?

    I have installed this and it through the export to file stage – however, the plugin is installed in a sub-domain of my main website.

    i.e https://www.ridgetek.co.uk/southestates

    But the export seems to be taking everything under https://www.ridgetek.co.uk which is amounting to 960Mb.

    Is there any way to restrict the export to the current sub-domain ?

    Hi ridgetek,

    I just had a talk with the engineers earlier today and they confirm that our current version (4.12) already works for only a sub-domain – I am sorry for letting you know it was not working.
    One question though, how did you know the export cover everything under https://www.ridgetek.co.uk not only the sub-domain?

    Because after I click on the export to file option and it retrieves a list of all wordpress files the output gives a green flashing message saying ‘DOWNLOAD https://WWW.RIDGETEK.CO.UK, SIZE 1,016 MB’.

    The domain where the plugin is installed is https://www.ridgetek.co.uk/southestates.

    Hi ridgetek,

    The engineers said that these are standard messages (without https://) and only the active site is being exported, so it is actually your sub-domain that was exported.

    I have got further with this and tried to restore a small file to another domain.

    When it gets to the ‘restoring database’ part it just hangs (I have left it running for over an hour and it has still not completed).

    Hi,

    Could you try the following steps and let me know how your import goes?
    1. While on restoring database, leave it running for 15 minutes.
    2. After 15 minutes, open another tab and try to login to wp-admin with WP Admin username/password of the exported site
    3. Go to settings -> permalinks and save the permalink structure
    At this point the website should be successfully migrated.

    I tried this but going in to wp-admin just took me to a white screen which just hangs so I couldn’t get in to the settings.

    I also have this issue on exporting. When clicking export, it says “done creating an empty archive’ then hangs there. I downloaded the version mentioned above in this thread, but recieved the same result. Anything else i can do? It stopped working on its own a couple of days ago.
