How to add a link in in profile alert message..

Are you referring to the message(s) that get emailed to users admins? or something else?

When account is awaiting for approval,I want to show customised message with a link in their profile. e.g “Your account is awaiting approval by site admin.Please Click here to verify your identity”

Looks like they’re getting stripped because I run the options through sanitize_text_field() so that’ll need to either be amended or provide a filter of some sort.

Out of curiosity, are you planning to provide the activation link somehow with that <a> tag you’re wanting to add?

As an alternative until I decide what to do here and get a release with it out the door, check the first function in the includes/core.php file to see how I’m displaying the message. You should be able to remove ours in place of your own, without too much trouble.

For all the email messages it would be better to use esc_textarea instead of sanitize_text_field – this way the emails look nice

I am using WP Better Emails on my sites and now the messages sent from the BP Registration Options plugin are displayed nicely in the email template ??

The changes made in my commit at https://github.com/WebDevStudios/BuddyPress-Registration-Options/commit/ac900f838c2c2cfe5a45b422bf7e216bcd7c758a should help. Feel free to update your copy of the plugin manually if you want, to remove the sanitize_text_field() aspect.
