    Dear Mailchimp,
when a user is logged in, add to cart is not working.

    Software stack:
    ? PHP 8.3
    ? WordPress 6.3.4
    ? theme: Barberry 2.9.9.86
    ? theme: Twenty Twenty-One 2.3

    Details:
If only “WooCommerce” 8.7.0 and “Mailchimp for WooCommerce” 4.3.1 plugins are enabled the error is there.
If only “WooCommerce” 8.7.0 and “Mailchimp for WooCommerce” 4.2.1 plugins are enabled the error is not there.
First tried with the Barberry theme, then with the Twenty Twenty-One theme. Same results.
    Please fix the error.

    Thanks in advance,
    Balázs Németh

Hi Bábelhal Support, thank you for reaching out. To assist you better, we need some additional details about the issue you’re experiencing. Here are a few points that would help us troubleshoot effectively:

    1. Enable Remote Support:
      • Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Mailchimp in your plugin settings.
      • Activate the remote support option. This allows our support team to perform in-depth diagnostics.

Additionally, please define “when a user is logged in.” User logged into the plugin, MC, or actually website?

    Hi KJ,

Enable Remote Support → There is no “Mailchimp” under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced.
I found it under: Mailchimp / Advanced (URL: https://{domain}/wp-admin/admin.php?page=mailchimp-woocommerce&tab=plugin_settings)
    ? Remote support enabled

Logged in = to the website as a WooCommerce customer.

    Best regards,
    Balázs

    Hi @babelhalsupport,

Thanks for your patience while we researched this further. We’ve attempted to recreate the issue on our end but haven’t been able to do so. I’d recommend upgrading the plugin to the latest version (4.4) from your current version (4.2.1) to see if that resolves the issue.

If the problem persists after the update, it’s likely due to a plugin or theme conflict. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot: How to Troubleshoot Plugin or Theme Conflicts:

    Update Everything:

      • Ensure WordPress, your theme, and all plugins are updated to their latest versions, as outdated versions can sometimes cause conflicts.

      Switch to a Default Theme:

        • Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Three to check if the issue is related to your current theme.
        • To switch themes:
          • Go to Appearance > Themes.
          • Activate a default theme and check if the problem persists.

        Deactivate All Plugins:

          • Deactivate all other plugins except the one in question.
            • Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
            • Select all plugins and choose “Deactivate” from the bulk actions dropdown.
          • Test the site functionality after deactivating to see if the issue is resolved.

          Reactivate Plugins One by One:

            • Reactivate each plugin one by one, checking for the issue after each activation. This will help identify if a specific plugin is causing the conflict.

Check the Browser Console for Errors:

              • Open your browser’s developer tools (press F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I) and look for any JavaScript errors in the Console tab. Errors here may indicate a conflict.

              Use a Staging Environment:

                • If possible, perform these steps in a staging environment to avoid affecting your live site. You can use a plugin like WP Staging or set up a local development environment.

                Enable Debugging Mode:

                  • Turn on WordPress debugging by adding the following lines to your wp-config.php file:
                    php define( 'WP_DEBUG', true ); define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true ); define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
                  • This will log any errors to a debug.log file located in your wp-content directory.

Following these steps should help pinpoint whether the issue is related to a theme or plugin conflict. Let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance!

                  Hi @khungate

As already said in the first post:
the theme is the default (Twenty Twenty-One 2.3).
WordPress is almost up to date (6.3.4).
There are only two active plugins:
                  – WooCommerce 8.7.0
                  – Mailchimp for WooCommerce 4.3.1
Can you please test your plugin with this software environment?

                  Best regards,
                  Balázs

                  Hi @babelhalsupport,

Thanks for your response and the information. We’ve tried to replicate the issue in similar environments but haven’t had any luck so far.

Just to confirm, is the site in question: https://iphonemagyarorszag.hu? We noticed that on this site, there are 45 active plugins, and the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin version is 4.2.1, which differs from what you’re seeing.

Could you clarify which version you’re using and if there are any other differences in the environment that might help us reproduce the issue?

Looking forward to your feedback so we can investigate further.

@babelhalsupport are you by chance logged in as an “admin” or is it an actual customer account? If you’re an admin user it will not be tracking the carts. Can you please verify that for us?

                  Hi @khungate

when I tested I tested with software listed here:
                  – WordPress 6.3.4
                  – WooCommerce 8.7.0
                  – Mailchimp for WooCommerce 4.3.1
                  – Twenty Twenty-One 2.3
Since this is a live site, I turned the plugins back on, and switched back the theme.
After that I downgraded your plugin, since that varsion works fine.

                  Best regards,
                  Balázs

@babelhalsupport we are still looking into this… to narrow down the issue, can you add to carts when a user is NOT logged in? Let us know.
