    Setup page displays this error:

    Your site may not be ready for Site Kit
    Looks like you may be using a caching plugin which could interfere with setup. Please deactivate any caching plugins before setting up Site Kit. You may reactivate them once setup has been completed.

    There are no caching plugins installed, and host triple-checked and confirmed that all server-side caching has been disabled. I already tried clearing browser cache, logging out, incognito window, etc.

  • @loremipsum thanks for reaching out!

    Would it be possible to get your site URL and your Site Health Information through this form so we can check your current setup?

    Thanks, I submitted the form.

    @loremipsum thanks for the info!

    When I visit your site it takes me directly to the WP administration login. Is there some type of login protection or redirection? I’m curious if this is involved.

    Yes, the site is currently in development and is password-protected. What type of access/permissions do you require?

    @loremipsum thanks for the info. We’re not allowed access to sites, but could you temporarily turn off the redirection/ protection and try to connect Site Kit again? It may be affecting the setup process.

    Site Kit itself is designed for live production sites. With that said, I’ve been able to set it up on a testing account at your host and with their staging feature/domain, so perhaps the special configuration you have is involved.

    Note that once you have a production environment you can use this special setup/ plugin to pull data into your staging site.

    I have already tried that and still get the same error. It’s a multisite – does that make a difference? Site Kit is activated for each site separately per instructions in the documentation.

    @loremipsum thanks for the update. Does this occur for each individual site in the network?

    Yes.

    Additional observation: While I cannot access the site in the front end, I notice there is a Mixed Content error in the browser console on the admin page. It is flagging your favicon as being still served over https:// (instead of https://). Sometimes these errors can affect setup.

    Could you fix this and let us know if the issue persists?

    As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
