Thank you very much, but for what I need that does not help me … because that way I attach the files but if I could show the button, I would be able to make a preview of an attachment using another add-on in the publication.
I would appreciate if anyone knows of any add-on that can organize the documents in folders and subfolders and that also before downloading the documents that can be previewed, especially the docx.

Could the WP “add object” button be displayed in the “create new document” panel of BP Docs? I would be very grateful if someone could help me show that button or the upper part that does not show in the BP Docs editor and in the WP editor it does.

Thank you very much for the reply. We currently have it with buddypress Docs. The problem that it gives us is that it does not make a preview of the documents and they require us that before downloading, it can be previewed. Especially docx.
Buddydrive does not allow the creation of subfolders or the preview. BP Group Documents has not been updated for two years, nor does it allow subfolders (it works with categories) or preview.
I leave it written in case someone had the same problem or if someone can help me solve mine.

I had the “BuddyPress Docs In Group” plugin that created a lot of problems for me, I deactivated it and everything works correctly.

Before writing I had read the documentation and as some things I did not understand where to put them so I have first exported a CSV with the users there are. That way I understood that filling in the cells would be all OK.
This section “Then in each cell you will have to fill in the BuddyPress group slug” is not entirely clear to me. Should I create a column bp_group_slug?
When I export the CSV, the columns related to the groups that are exported are the following:
– bp_group
– bp_member_type
– bp_goup_id
Do I add bp_group_column, bp_group_role and bp_group_slug?

Could it be that being private groups will affect imports?

It is understood!
When you create a group from Buddypress, there are group details, settings, the files tab and invite options.
In the file tab you have the option “Minimum role to associate Docs with this group” I suppose that putting the admin of the group is enough.

The administrator is the only one who uploads files, each group has its users. The admin uploads the file to the group that he wants to show. When users access it, they enter the group and have a files tab that is where they can download the loaded files … This can be done perfectly without complications … I don’t know if it’s something like that you’re looking for.
