I’ve posted a fixed version on the other threads that you can try. I’ve reached out to the plugin author to update the plugin (as he did last year when I did the same thing) but not heard back.

@xuban it’s likely that you have another plugin that is conflicting with the new wplink that was put in the latest WP, as I & others have installed this on dozens of blogs now and this is the first problem I’ve heard of. There is another similar plugin that has been updated to work if you want to try an alternative. I would check to see if you have any other plugins that mess with the link dialog.

No problem – your links that are currently nofollow will stay nofollow, as this particular plugin affects the html of the post directly. Once deactivated all of the nofollow links remain so, whether it’s my version of the plugin, or the original.

I’ve fixed this by updating the wplink files to reflect the changes to the file in WP 4.2 – you can download a working version of the plugin at:

The folder name is different & the plugin name, so it won’t interfere with updates to Ultimate Nofollow from the original plugin author ??

To install:
Go to Plugins > Add New
Click Upload Plugin at the top
Use the file dialog to select the zip file that I’ve shared, then install and activate

Make sure Ultimate Nofollow is deactivated as it will probably conflict otherwise. It should install as Ultimate Nofollow (ZC edit).

I did the same thing last year and the plugin author took my fix and put it into the “official” plugin so it might be worth keeping it installed but deactivated in case he does that again and then you’ll be able to get further updates down the line. So far he hasn’t appeared on the support threads though so we’ll have to wait & see.

It’s not the Related Posts that I am having issues with, but the Featured Content. They are separate features?

From that page you linked to – “Featured Content allows users to spotlight their posts and have them uniquely displayed by a theme.”

I have done this: “Go to Appearance → Customize, and set a tag under Tag Name in Featured Content.” and set featured to be the tag but whenever I then change any settings in the WordPress “Settings – Reading” it resets the value to blank in Appearance → Customize.

I have added Featured Content support to the siteI am developing, and it’s working well. You can see it at https://mfh.corkydev.co.uk – there are two posts with the “featured” tag and they are displayed in the slider fine.

The issue is with the settings being reset.
