I also had that experience. The plugin seems mostly to work, but I think it’s logging IP addresses and or cookies in addition to usernames and complicating use when testing. Seems to work fine for other users, but I haven’t fiddled much with a desktop/mobile playtest.

Is it the theme’s comments.php file whose call to wp_list_comments is to be modified?

I’ve been fiddling with this for weeks on anders noren’s excellent theme Radcliffe (here) and I can’t get his comment template to take over when CP is activated.

Voting plugins are a dime a dozen – but one that resort comments based on votes are truly rare – so thank you for making this! And I’d appreciate any help you can offer.

You’ve tried Ultimate member? It has that function, among others.

One way to surface top rated comments might be with a widget for the sidebar that only queries the current page for comment ratings. Seems like a lot of plug devs struggle to reorder comments as well as YouTube does, with only WPeddit and Comment Rating Plugin coming close. Not to mention the difficult reading experience for users. So a widget might be a easier path.

The widget is great! But I’d like to display the comments on each post according to likes. The widget shows sitewide likes – which is quite cool – but I want to use your plugin as a tool for decision making by site members. Sorting comments (in my case ‘ideas’ by likes is ideal).

I’m still trying to find a way to sort comments by votes – If I were going to play around with the code to try and force a ‘sort by votes’ (see WPeddit, for example), is there a good place to begin?
