The icons are images right?

You can put icons straight on images without having to add a drop-down/up thing.

Also when it comes to SEO, I don’t think there is an issue for Google to crawl your links as long as they exist. However if i go to your webpage. I cant right click to inspect it. And when i open the inspector with Ctrl+Shft+I i just see your lightbox overlay.

But i got no clue, seems your information is lacking. Is the theme active? have you made a costum theme? Did you delete files and pages or entire wordpress when you restarted? etc.
