I did all that. I set the global default layout and checked the box for Force default layout everywhere. I can’t see anything changing!
Can you tell me, in Customize–>Front Page–> Front Page Displays how must be: Static Page? I’m asking coz i dont know if i am doing someting wrong here

I am creating the page now using Artisteer. Is it possible to place the theme on to a page i’m working? And if yes, does anyone know how to do it?
