In reply to: permalinks not updatingI did it and it broke my site! However I restored the backup so I’m back where I was.
I guess I could manually go in and update then all in the posts but what about archived, tagged, categories will these be a problem also or not?

In reply to: permalinks not updatingThanks mojowill, I am about to give this a go. To better understand my site is https://www.jozepfit4life.com but the sub folder is https://www.jozepfit4life.com/wordpress
So I would want to search for https://www.jozepfit4life.com in all tables and replace with https://www.jozepfit4life.com/wordpress
Does that sound correct
BTW I did backup my database

In reply to: permalinks not updatingAs additional to this I went in and looked at a bunch of images and they are all showing the subdirectory in their url but for some reason the widgets and posts are not updating the images but the posts are all good showing all the posts text???
I found out what the issue is. I used ‘<?php echo DISPLAY_ULTIMATE_PLUS(); ?>’ to display the icons in my header (shortcode not working)and I had to add styling to place it where I want and I don’t know why but it effected the white space in the plugins widget.
This is the css I used:
‘sfsiplus_norm_row {
float: right;
min-width: 25px;
position: relative !important;
}.sfsi_plus_widget {
bottom: -65px;
min-height: 55px;
position: relative;
right: 0;
}
.sfsiplus_norm_row {
padding-right: 65px;
}’It’s not very likely my template because none of the other widgets are effected this way. You can see on my page https://www.clickmoves.com

In reply to: Can't get subdirectory to point to root!Figured it out!
Thanks Cory but this is no longer an issue, I just manually moved my website. But thanks for responding.
I figure out where/how to change permissions but what folders or files do I need to change?

In reply to: Where do I put a title tag/I am using Graphene theme
Hi Cory and thanks for the video. I did figure it out and it worked like a champ!
This was the first time doing this and as a newbie I assumed that it moved the website to the new host which to me meant the database also, so this is what caused the confusion.
I was entering the DB credentials from my localhost DB which of course did not work.
I thought that if I created a new DB that it would be blank and not have my content. It should be pointed out that all the created content will populate into the new DB. It would be a little clearer. This was not clear to me on any of the videos I watched and I watched several on Youtube.
But now that I know how to use it it’s SWEET!
Thanks, Joe

In reply to: Can I set up WordPress without being online yet?Thanks Evan, looks a little complicated but I think I will give it a go. I guess I can also get the hostgator support involved also to help me get it up. Thanks!
