In reply to: Changing Number of Posts not workingI’m looking at the index.php page and at the very bottom it has something that might be a call to footer, but nothing like the page link. Have no idea what pages are. We never compose our blog entries as separate pages. We always right directly into Write, using the default first tab.

I welcome you coming over to check things out — but please know that we are an adult gay site that features male nudity.
OK, so I exagerated about the pyramids… ??

In reply to: Changing Number of Posts not workingYes. It does say ‘posts’ and not ‘days.’ We’re trying to just show 7 and it keeps showing 12, our old number of displays.
Is it possible that in writing our style sheet that we screwed something up?
What would be the name of the actual file that has the command for the number of posts displayed. This is so weird.

In reply to: Changing Number of Posts not workingYes we did all that.
We even opened up an old version of Netscape that we found on our hardrive that hasn’t been opened since the pyramids were constructed, and it too displayed the old number of posts that were originally designated. This is frustrating.

In reply to: Is data or keystrokes stored anywhere…????? HELP!!!Thanks vkaryl, that’s what I dreaded and suspected. I was hoping someone who knew about Macs would tell me something like: “There’s this great little-known fucntion in Mac where you can go back and see keyboard strokes…” Or some wishful thinking thing like that. God, I’ve learned my lesson. The hard way. Ugh.

In reply to: Is data or keystrokes stored anywhere…????? HELP!!!Can you guys move your word processing comments somewhere else — start a new thread maybe. I’m near tears right now and don’t need to read semi-scold flavored advice about what I SHOULD have done, I’m waiting to see if someone comes across my post and has info directly related to what I’m asking about — not what I should have done. Thanks.

In reply to: Is data or keystrokes stored anywhere…????? HELP!!!No, I know that…about it being saved as a draft. I’d been working in the program, in that mode, adding things and then saving them to view at the bottom of the page to see what they’d look like finished. But then I added a hunk of text copied over from an email, but in doing that wiped out a huge chunk of work, when I pasted in the text over that hunk of work unknowingly. I hit save and then…well, here I am.

In reply to: Where are our entries “going…”?MtDewVirus (great handle)…Do you recommend the MDV Archive plugin over the other two mentioned. Meaning, have you tried the three and this is the one you like best? I’d rather just cut to the chase and upload the one that’s gonna work the smoothest.
Thanks
ZP

In reply to: Where are our entries “going…”?Hmmmm — ok, so it sounds like it’s not the .htaccess file, but perhaps the permalink structure…Can you explain more about that second possibility? I do know that we chose not to categorize every post under the DEFAULT CATEGORY, as that seemed redundant to have that showing up with every post. But perhaps we were supposed to have every entry filed under that default, to keep them all”together” in the month’s archives?
