The plugin should only be attaching the Zendesk Chat widget snippet and any optional widget options as configured in the plugin configuration.
This is so far the only report describing such an issue. Can you provide some more details where you are seeing this URL so we can take take a further look?

Thanks for reporting this. you will get that error if you manually paste the widget Zendesk Chat Script into the widget options field. The chat script is added automatically by the plugin. The widget options textarea is for additional customisations that you may need with the plugin. Please refer to this link for what you can do with the widget options:

Hi ddelozier!
What i mean is the version of PHP you use to run wordpress. We need to run wordpress on the PHP with the same version as on your server to replicate the issue. ??
So far we’ve tried running wordpress 4.7.3 on php 5.6 and it works fine, we suspect that the version was lower than php 5.6

Sorry for getting back very late to you about this, but we have just now released a new version (v1.7.0) of the plugin that give you an option to disable using external_ids for SSO.
Go to ‘Zendesk -> Remote Auth -> Enable External IDs’.
Note however, that disabling external IDs in SSO has a very important caveat that you should know about, in that email changes in your WordPress will not be automatically reflected in your Zendesk Support Portal.

I would recommend that you try out Contextual Help for the web widget. The widget displays relevant Help Center articles to your customers depending on which page they’re on.
