tried your site and it actually it loaded pretty fast – tried to leave a comment and click around but nothing works.

do not really know the cause – just wanted to confirm.

nobody is answering cuz i am on the borderline of stupidity – i copied a post shorcut and pasted it in the browse and voila – permalink displayed and worked

i guess it pays to think first then do whatever your impelse was calling for

as Yogi Berra once said: “…anticipation is 50% of participation…”

click on Post, Pages, Categories, anything in particular or all of the above? based on random clicking – no problems.

thanks all – i’ll go the ftp route – i don’t really know how to get permission to edit on the web directly

the problem is that i am not allowed to edit the sidebar – there is a message that says “if this file were rewritable you could edit it”

how can i get edit permission?

all i want to do is edit the text under About – funny thing is i already did it a few days ago and now i can’t remember how i did it;

have i taken it up a few notches on the “fool” scale or what?

i’m sorry i did not communicate clearly – i want to install WordPress on a hosted website; I had previously installed XAMPP on my computer as atest and I don’t use it much;

when i tried to install WP on the host site i got the error message – so i checked evrything several times – the database and user names as well as the password are ok – so I was wondering maybe a different host name needs to be specified – you think?

needless to say i am not the most computer literate – just a blogger
