Thank you for such a forthright and rapid response!
Hi Serge, thanks for the quick reply! I’ve set all the cache lifetimes in Litespeed to 24 hours now and purged the caches, I’ll need to monitor signups over a 24-hour period or so to see if we get anymore false positives, but I’ll report back here either way.
Many thanks!!

The “speaker” post type represents people who are keynote or other speakers at our symposia and other events. They will have a user account for our site but they won’t necessarily be the author of any posts. Unless you’re recommending that we alter the structure to make the actual Speaker’s user account the author of their own Speaker post? That’s an interesting idea, but how would it work then to allow them to edit their Speaker profile on the front end?
Hi Shabti, they will have a WordPress user, and I would have their email address as an ACF field in the Speaker custom post type as a way of determining whether they’re the same person. So if ACF the email address field matches the email of the logged in user, they could edit the data.
I hope that makes sense?

In reply to: [Header Footer Code Manager] Fatal Error 1.1.33The same issue happens with the is_product_tag() function not performing a check for the presence of WooCommerce, which broke our site after the update.
I’ve cleared the cache – it said 0 users cached but I cleared it anyway. Unfortunately it didn’t make any difference.

That’s the page I’m doing the searching on, in case it helps you to understand better what might be happening.
Hi, that is super weird, it just doesn’t work on my setup. Would you possibly be willing to come onto my site and take a look and maybe see if you can spot where I’ve gone wrong?
Apologies for the confusion – the general search bar does work as expected, however in searching the “member name” field (a custom field containing the first name and last name) is it possible to make partial searches work?
I have First Name and Last Name fields, but I had to create a field called Member Name to be able to search on the whole name or part of it. This used to work on an older version of Ultimate Member.
What filter field should I add now to my directory to allow searching on First Name and Last Name at the same time?
Hi, yes all three are filled in and enabled as you can see in my screenshot:
I do not receive any email.
Hi, I turned on debug logging and put my email address in but I didn’t receive an email when I did a test transaction. Does the PayFast plugin need to be in sandbox mode for the email to be sent?
Hi, yes the email content is definitely different.
I did this test also:
– Turn off welcome email message
– did a test registration (received no email, which I expected)
– approved the test user
– still received no account activation emailSo it seems like the welcome email is being used instead of the approval email, and this is both on a live client’s site and also on my offline test installation with just WordPress and the latest UM version.
If you would like credentials to test the live site, I can provide them.
Thanks very much for your help! ??
Yes I have seen that, but it doesn’t explain what the template actually needs to look like. Where can I see what the standard template looks like?

In reply to: [Conditional Widgets] Individual posts in category not showing widgetI’ll need to make a copy of the installation to change the theme, as I don’t want to risk destabilizing the live site. Once that’s done, I’ll make the theme switch and let you know if this oddness persists.
Thanks for your help so far! ??
