In reply to: [Quick Post Widget] [Plugin: Quick Post Widget] Custom fields?I’m trying to use this fix (I need to show a custom field) but the syntax listed above (specifically the part line 559) isn’t there.
How do I add a custom field?
THANKS!
Seriously, the headlines are only posting at a rate of about one for every 7-10 posted to my site… why is this?
Anybody? Bueller?

In reply to: Creating archives by categoryThat works, though I have some coding cleanup to do.
What I’d rather explore is pulling the post titles separately for each letter. Then I could type in the category (A, B, C, etc.) and then just pull the post titles underneath it, if I can use the same code 26 times in the template.
I’m using this in my page-sitemap.php file here: https://thebabydictionary.com/all-letters

In reply to: Recommend a “top story” plugin? (or top author)That’s a pretty slick plugin, Johannes. I’ll keep it in mind, thanks. That would be perfect for somebody with an online version of a printed newsletter, like chambers of commerce or tourism promoters.
Anybody know of anything like what I’m looking for, or is there no option short of a zillion dollar custom code job?
Thanks!

In reply to: How to add some text to a sidebar listDidn’t work. ??

In reply to: How to add some text to a sidebar listI read around the docs about else/if, but don’t understand the adding to “for each” thing.
Can you point me to more info on how to implement that?
Here’s some longer stretches of code I’m working with:
<li id=”pp-recent-posts” class=”widget”>
<h2 class=”widgettitle”><?php _e(‘Latest Words Defined:’); ?></h2>-
<?php wp_get_archives(‘type=postbypost&limit=10’); ?>
Thanks in advance!

In reply to: Trying to alphebetize postsSamboll, please accept my sincere apology. I feel like a real jerk and I’m very sorry. I completely misunderstood your post and that was my fault. I do want to thank you for your dedication and support, not just to me, but to everyone on here. Without mods like you we couldn’t do it, so thank you.

In reply to: Trying to alphebetize postsWell let’s not be condescending, I’m just trying to find a simple snippet of code, my friend. ??
I CAN implement that code, on the front page at least. What I’m really trying to figure out is how to implement it into my category pages. ??

In reply to: Trying to alphebetize postsBummer is that the template I’m using (and the three before it) don’t have a “category.php” file. I don’t need to create a new category template, I just need to know how to sort the results within my pages to show by alphabet, rather than post.
Any suggestions on that?

Thanks!

In reply to: How to change text of META & BLOGROLL in sidebar widgetYep, those were the two fixes I needed. Changed META in the widget title, and BLOGROLL in the Links Admin.
Do you know how I delete the “www.remarpro.com” link from the meta widget?

In reply to: Can’t publish since upgrade to 2.9 (says MISSED SCHEDULE)Just tried that, still didn’t pull stories out of Schedule (‘Missed Schedule’) to published. I’m so lost here.

In reply to: Can’t publish since upgrade to 2.9 (says MISSED SCHEDULE)I just checked another site of mine, one using a different theme (not default, but not from Woo), and it also isn’t publishing scheduled stories.
I updated through Simple Scripts… Am I in trouble here? Do I need to restore ALL my sites to older versions and wait for a more solid 2.9 update? I don’t even have 2.8 as an option, it takes me all the way back to 2.6.
