Our main hosting provider updated to PHP 8.1 and Yoast has broken our ability to edit any posts where it is used. We have to either downgrade dozens of sites to PHP 8.0 or uninstall Yoast. That this has been a known issue for more than a year with no resolution certainly helps make that decision easier.
It’s the new plugin. Rolled back to the old version and it’s working again.

In reply to: [3CX Free Live Chat, Calls & WhatsApp] 3CX New Update Cause Chat to not workIt looks like the recent update just wiped out the “3CX Talk URL” from my plugin settings. I think we’re good now.

In reply to: [3CX Free Live Chat, Calls & WhatsApp] 3CX New Update Cause Chat to not workSome time yesterday we noticed our LiveChats also stopped working. We hadn’t yet updated to WP 6.0 and it looks like we are on 3CX plugin version 10.0.2 (updated 4 days ago).

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Month view emptyAGH! I had extended another CSS style to the titles that should appear on the month calendar, accidentally setting them to “display: none;” So, it turns out that when you set something to “display: none;” it will not display. Who knew? ??
Thanks Leah!

In reply to: Embed a font?I can be (maybe someday) accomplished with CSS3: https://rubyurl.com/ypJd
Here are some other methods. None are perfect, some are far from even good: https://www.fontembedding.com/fonts-and-the-web/
Keep in mind that whatever font you are embedding is still subject to licensing restrictions the author has placed on it, so you may be legally liable if you do this.

In reply to: mod_rewrite appears in my .htaccess fileWithout this you will have to use the default permalink structure (https://www.beaconfire.com/blog/?p=123) rather than the friendly urls that mod_rewrite provides for. Getting rid of this in your .htaccess shouldn’t hurt anything else, especially if wordpress is the only thing running on your site.

In reply to: Which MySQL tables does WordPress use? It’s almost surely safe for WordPress if you delete those tables. Not so good for any other application using them, obviously. Just be sure they’re not needed by another app, or by mysql itself.
I’m guessing by your username and that one of the tables is called “albums” that you used to have a photo gallery here. If so, I’d go to the site you got it from and doublecheck which of those tables are used by it and delete only them if you’re not using the app anymore.

In reply to: Precondition FailedI started getting this error today for the first time, and I’ve been using WordPress for a couple of years. I FTP’d in, browsed to the plugins directory, and renamed the “bad-behavior” dir. I am now able to admin and view my blog. Too bad, I’d not had any comment spam for the few weeks since installing it. I guess it decided to lock me out too. Not so helpful in inna big picture.
