Feature suggestions

    I love your little plugin, slim and useful, that’s how I like it.
    I’ve got two suggestions:

    1. Any chance of localizing date & time settings? Right now they have US standard format when updated orders displayed on frontend (like 2014-09-30 05:18:23 instead of 30.09.2014 17:18:23). Doesn’t look good in Europe.

    2. Since we insert a name when we create an order, any chance of creating a variable we can use in e-mail body pulling automatically the name of customer so we can write status updates saying “Dear Mr. Smith”?

    3. I didn’t find where to change the subject line of emails?

    I’d definitely buy a pro version if you release one with those features.

    Hi Benko,

    We’ll look in to adding those features, they’re all very good suggestions.

    You’ll have access to all updates to the plugin as an early adopter, since you already have it installed.

    Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me where to change the subject line of emails? Now saying ‘Order Update’, I’d like to translate it into german. If you provide a file I could also translate the whole thing and send it back to you, if you like.

    If you change line 68 of the file “Prepare_Data_For_Insertion.php”, that would change the subject line.

    Got that, great. Now only a variable for order_number in subject line is missing (so I can write in subject line: Status message for Order# 1006) and another variable for order_name (Dear Mr. Smith).

    Also, looking forward to Paypal integration and customer database.
    Then it’s nearly perfect.

    i really love your plugin. it’s been 2 days i haven’s sleep try to create my own tracking plugin but never work. finally i found your. many thanks for that.
    if i may give you another suggestions.
    what if in order option you can add weight and dimension. may be we can use your plugin for delivery website. and also may be an invoice that related with the plugin.

    Thanks for the feature suggestion, we’ll look into adding something like that ASAP.

    Would like to suggest the following as well:

    – sorting of status i.e. descending or ascending

    – option to show the latest status only

    additional “Location” field in the status table will be a nice feature also.
